Arts is continuously launching new projects and receives funding from Danish and international research councils and foundations within the different disciplines covered by the faculty. Research projects financed by major research grants are hosted by the following centres:
The centre is aiming at comparing the archaeology of urbanism from Medieval Northern Europe to the Ancient Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean World and determine how, and to what extent, urban networks catalyzed societal and environmental expansions and crises in the past.
The Danish Centre for Manor House Research is a co-operation between Aarhus University, the National Museum of Denmark, Aarhus School of Architecture and the 'Gammel Estrup' Manor Museum. (link to Danish site)
The centre is home to a national research collaboration aimed at strengthening Danish research into childcare centres and schools. The centre was established in collaboration between the Danish School of Education, Aarhus University and VIA University College. (In Danish only)
