My PhD project is ''The North Sea, the Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean: Using ivory to reveal long-distance trade networks in the early medieval period''. Full details of my project can be found here.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Archaeology from the University of Newcastle and an MPhil in Medieval Archaeology from the University of Cambridge. 

 

Research

My research interests include: 

The Funerary Archaeology of Early Medieval Northern Europe.

Late Antique trade and economics.

The Archaeology of Ivory and the Ivory Trade. 

Assemblage theory and raw material agency.
