Research

Line Keller Ottosen is a PhD Fellow in history at the School of Culture and Society. In her PhD, she examines relationship between state authority and subjects in the eighteenth century, focussing on the expectations, experiences, and negotiations of the marginalized as they articulate them in the petition protocols in Danske Kancellie from 1699 to 1799.

As part of her PhD studies Line is affiliated with the project “Voices of the People,” PI, professor Nina Javette Koefoed. The project digitizes and transcribes the petition protocols in Transkribus and Line has prior to her PhD studies worked as the daily manager of the project.

During her Master's studies, Line was part of an interdisciplinary research project "History of Psychiatry in Denmark c. 1852-1938. In connection with this she has amongst others been co-authoring the book Patientstemmer fra Asylet and featured in the DR-podcast Skriget fra Asylet.
