For PhD students at all levels at the faculty of Arts. The aim of the course is to raise participants’ awareness of the characteristics of research writing and to improve their research writing skills.

PhD course: Introduction to PhD Supervision
An obligatory course for all PhD students at the Faculty of Arts, Aarhus University. The purpose of the course is to have the PhD students be familiar with the typical challenges of a PhD process with regards to supervision and with core issues dominating the discourse on the supervisory dialogue. Furthermore the course supports reflection on different supervisor/student roles and how the students' own writing process affects the process of supervision. Registration Deadline: September 8 (time 10:00).

I en vekselvirkning mellem oplæg og workshops, vil deltagerne få et overblik over både generelle og fagspecifikke databaser, opslagsværker og fuldtekstressourcer, som biblioteket stiller til rådighed for AUs forskere.

PhD course: Introduction to Research Writing in English (day 1 out og 3)
For PhD students at all levels at the faculty of Arts. The aim of the course is to raise participants’ awareness of the characteristics of research writing and to improve their research writing skills. Part of the course is based on a writing sample from each individual student, which is to be revised and improved based on peer and teacher feedback. Registration Deadline: October 1 (10:00).

VIP course, Doctoral Supervision for Doctoral Supervisors (day 1)
The obligatory course is offered to all new doctoral supervisors at the Faculty of Arts, Aarhus University and is optional for experienced supervisors. It is a process course that takes as its starting point the new doctoral supervisors’ understandings of their role and place in the organization through establishing i.e.: What forms of pedagogy are embedded in different supervisor and student roles? And what practical tools are used to facilitate and cope with troublesome areas? Registration Deadline: October 13, 2020 (time 10:00).
