Would you like to publish your book with a North American or British University Press?
This workshop will cover the most urgent issues academic authors need to be prepared for when approaching university presses, including selecting target publishers, communicating with acquisitions editors, and when and how to submit a book proposal. We will also cover the key elements of the academic book proposal and tips on how to make your pitch stand out from the crowd of submissions.

Laura Portwood-Stacer is a publishing consultant and developmental editor for academic authors. She is the author of The Book Proposal Book: A Guide for Scholarly Authors, available from Princeton University Press.
