WULF KANSTEINER is Associate Professor of European History at Binghamton Univer-sity (SUNY). He has published widely in the fields of media history, memory studies, and historical theory. He is the author of In Pursuit of German Memory: History, Tele-vision, and Politics after Auschwitz (2006); co-editor of The Politics of Memory in Postwar Europe (2006) and Historical Representation and Historical Truth (2009); and co-founder of the Sage-Journal Memory Studies (published since 2008).
