To mark that Professor Martin Schulze Wessel, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, is visiting the Department of Culture and Society in the spring semester of 2013, the “Modern Europe” research programme organizes a seminar addressing various aspects of the study of European empires in the modern era. There will be two presentations followed by a general discussion:
