This lecture sets out to illustrate and discuss the potentials and challenges of mixed-method research designs with a view to capturing the complexity of health and wellbeing promotion programmes in schools. Particular focus will be placed on challenges related to the evaluation, sustainability and transferability of school-based interventions. Didier Jourdan is a professor at Blaise Pascal University in Clermont-Ferrand, France, and is one of the leading European scholars in the field of public health and health promotion in schools.
