ABOUT WORKSHOP
Three years ago, the release of ChatGPT 1.0 sparked widespread debate about the risks of AI in language education. Today, AI’s capabilities are not only powerful but developing at an unprecedented pace. For foreign language educators, this rapid innovation demands reflections: How can we use AI to benefit both teachers and learners?  What learning goals, tasks, and assessment criteria are most relevant in this new landscape? This workshop invites Chinese and foreign language teachers, high school teachers, Master and PhD students, and first-front university teachers, to come together, share practice, and provide insights to the future of language teaching and learning.

Workshop aims to
Explore how AI or agentic AI is reshaping task-based language teaching and learning
Share practical experiences and innovative approaches from diverse educational contexts
Discuss the learning goals, task designs, and assessment criteria most effective in the age of AI
Foster collaboration and networking among educators, researchers, and language practitioners
