One of the most contested uses of AI is for writing creatively. While it is becoming accepted that LLMs will assist in many writing tasks, the authentic voice of an author stands out as a value that is in danger. In 2026, several books have been de-published to protect the integrity of writing. At the same time, AI offers possibilities for writing that can be seen as a continuation of historical avantgardes. The projects studies the field of contemporary writing in an effort to map out the new landscape opened by AI.
