Matei Candea (Cambridge University and editor of JRAI) talks about animals and ethics in this Academic Hour seminar.

The paper will read two rather disparate descendants of Aristotle – the science of ethology and the anthropology of ethics – alongside and through each other to ask what a long-term field study of meerkats can tell us about the ethical self-fashioning of contemporary ethologists.
