Clara Rosa Sandbye - New PhD at the Department of Anthropology

Clara will work on a project investigating the Danish restorative justice programme (Konfliktråd) and how offenders experience proceeding through the programme.

My name is Clara and I am a new PhD student on the 4+4 programme at Anthropology. Born and raised in Copenhagen and UCPH, I am eager to commence my new life at AU and meeting each and every one of you.

With my PhD project, I set to investigate the Danish restorative justice programme (Konfliktråd) and how offenders experience proceeding through the programme. During the course of my PhD studies, I will follow offenders in cases of violence, focusing on their experiences, perceptions of their future lives, and how they involve their social networks in the process. I will be working side-by-side with the Konfliktråd Impact Project (KIP) and, among others, Christian B. N. Gade, who will be main supervisor of the project.
